North Hills Opportunities for Service.
Each of the ministries here at the North Hills Church seeks out opportunities to serve. Whether it's a service project to make blankets for newborns at area hospitals or sending care packages to our troops overseas we always have multiple projects in progress. If you are interested in joining us in any of these opportunities, check each ministry for appropriate contact information.
Outside Opportunities for Service
As good Christians, we should always be seeking opportunities to serve in the world around us. Following are a number of specific opportunities that members of our family find uplifting and worthwhile.
James Connection
This ministry was initiated by members of the Holiday Park Church of Christ. This ministry is dedicated to supporting orphans in Manipur, India. Members of the North Hills Church of Christ provide individual financial support. Our teens have supported this ministry through a Rent-a-Teen service ministry, through collections at their annual Youth Rally, and through their commitment to sponsor a child with a monthly contribution. Feed My Sheep
Feed my Sheep is a nondenominational ministry begun 12 years ago that serves the homeless of Pittsburgh. Every Tuesday and Wednesday evening a team prepares and serves dinner to the needy at a location on the Boulevard of the Allies in downtown Pittsburgh. Rain or shine, summer or winter, Feed my Sheep brings nourishing meals, fellowship and warm clothes to those less fortunate. The North Hills Church of Christ supports Feed my Sheep through a team of individual volunteers and through continuing clothing donations.
